SOMETHING TO KNOW:
This piece was inspired by the 1957 courtroom drama Twelve Angry Men, in which Henry Fonda convinces his fellow jurors not to convict a young defendant of killing his father.
SOMETHING TO LISTEN FOR:
Impassioned dialogue dominates the beginning of the piece as the first cello initially spars with the others but slowly the group comes around to calm agreement.
Recorded live in Alice Tully Hall on April 23, 2017.
Video produced by Ibis Productions.
